Google Sign-In

RJ is a private suite of self-hosted web applications, run on personal hardware by one individual for that person and a small group of invited family and friends. It is not a commercial product and it has no public sign-up: access is by invitation only.

What RJ does

Behind a single sign-on, RJ gives its invited users:

  • a personal home dashboard that links to the other applications
  • a media library
  • a personal finance tracker
  • a few small self-hosted utilities

Every one of these runs on hardware operated by RJ. None of them sell, publish, or share user data.

Why RJ asks you to sign in with Google

RJ deliberately keeps no password database of its own. Google Sign-In is used purely as an identity check: it tells RJ which invited person is signing in, and nothing else.

RJ requests only the email and profile scopes, which give it:

  • your email address, used to match you against the invite list and as your account identifier
  • your name and profile picture, used to label your session in the interface

RJ does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Contacts, or any other Google service. It never reads, writes, posts, or deletes anything in your Google Account, and signing in gives RJ no ability to act on your behalf.

Access is restricted and intended only for invited users. If you were not explicitly invited, signing in will not grant you access to anything.
